The concept of THE ‘GREEK LIST’ has been created by Avgoustinos Galiassos. The goal of the THE ‘GREEK LIST’ is to directly connect all Greek Businesses, Individuals and Professionals that are active in the UK, with the Greek community who visit or reside in the UK.
Moreover, it offers Greek residents and visitors to the UK the possibility to easily search, find and contact all Greek Businesses and Greek Professionals involved in the arena of entertainment, Professional Business Services together with news, updates, job offers and many other special promotions.
The ‘GREEK LIST’ is the ‘Go To’ place for all Greeks in the UK, for their information, collaboration or to purchase goods and services searching for the best offers. THE ‘GREEK LIST’ also enables communication and interaction with other Greeks throughout the United Kingdom.
AVGOUSTINOS GALIASSOS | CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Avgoustinos Galiassos came to the UK in 2003 to pursue his Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management at Warwick University. From the very beginning he committed himself to the Greek Community while at the same time holding positions of high responsibility within multinational Companies such as Coca-Cola, Bloomberg and more recently with British Biscuits at McVities as a Global Programme Manager.
Avgoustinos is the founder of the largest Greek Facebook Group in the world – Ellines sto Londino / Greeks in London – with more than 47,000 members. He also hosts a weekly radio show on London Greek Radio with over 46,000 views per month and a weekly talk-show on Hellenic TV, presenting Greek ambitious professionals.
Avgoustinos’ greatest passion is music. He is a founding member and DJ of the HELLENIC NIGHTS LONDON team that has been organizing weekly Greek events and concerts in London since 2005. You will find him behind all major Greek events in London, such as the Hellenic Initiative Charity Annual Ball at the Dorchester Hotel, the Oinoussian Ball at the Savoy Hotel, the Annual Ball of the Hellenic Engineers at the Grosvenor House Hotel , the Ball of Greek Bankers and many other prestigious Greek events and venues. Having spent his time within the Greek Community since his early days in London, he soon realized how important it was to connect Greek businesses with Greek residents and vice versa for the common good.
His vision came to fruition and materialized through the creation of THE ‘GREEK LIST’. What better idea than to combine his vast experience gained as a Global project Manager within large multinational companies together with his unique international know-how and an talented team of Greek professionals who hold top positions in their field – understanding many needs of the Greek population in the United Kingdom. MARIA CHATZIASLANI | CO-FOUNDER & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Maria Chatziaslani is a committed and driven communications leader. She graduated from LSE (London School of Economics) and has more than 11 years of experience in top creative agencies on major international brands in London and Paris.
She puts her heart and soul into everything she sets out to do and she has had a strong impact on the growth of the Greek List Group. At Greek List she looks after Client Relations and Marketing and is always thinking of the next step forward in terms of empowering the Greek community in the UK further.
When she isn’t focusing all her efforts on Greek List, you’ll find her wearing the GIWA (Greek International Women’s Awards) Committee member’s hat, and supporting voluntarily this incredible initiative of encouraging Greek Women to share their stories and be celebrated. Maria is a humanitarian at heart, a creative individual, and her motto in life is ‘if not now, then when?’.
