Miselina Lemisiou | Psychologist – Psychotherapist & Leadership Coach
Miselina studied in National and Kapodestrian University of Athens, and in Nottingham University (Pg.Dip Psychology). She holds a MSc in Health Psychology from University College London (UCL) and a MSc in Person-Centered Counselling and Psychotherapy from Strathclyde University. She has, also, been triple-certified in Coaching for High Performance (MDI, CCU, AMA). She is a founding member of the Panhellenic Association of Person-Centred & Experiential Professionals and Scientific Associate at the Association of Social Responsibility for Children and Youth (SKEP).
She applies the Person-Centered Approach both in Psychotherapy and Coaching, focusing the process towards the individual’s self-development, and in everything he/she can conquer and broaden, under his/her own unique characteristics. The intention of this psychotherapeutic process is to provide the necessary and sufficient conditions, where the individual would feel free and safe to express and discover his/her actualizing tendency, each moment.
Since 2014, she developed and applied a Person-Centered Coaching Model focusing exclusively on the expansion of Emotional and Social Intelligence Competencies, as a development method in the field of Human Resources. The Person-Centered Coaching Model’s mission is to offer the necessary and sufficient conditions for personal growth, including the largest possible part of the organization, not only the C-level employees, which is the common practice until today. This model has been nominated at the HR Awards Greece with Honorable Distinction (2015) and with Silver Award (2016) for the category Learning & Development in the sector Effective Use of Coaching, as an innovative and best-practice method. Her work has been published at the International Coaching Psychology Review (2018) of the British Psychological Society. Furthermore, it has been included among the 36 most accurate scientific methods regarding psychology in executive coaching, over the past two decades internationally (Integrated Literature Review by Pr. Steven Palmer and Yi-Ling Lai), suggested as guidelines for global federations such as International Coaching Federation (ICF). It is also part of the mandatory literature for the academic program of Business Communication, at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and it is also listed in the Research Portal of ICF Global.
As the individual is seen as a fully functioning person, Miselina visualizes a set of people as a breathing organism, and she strongly believes in a modern working environment where human relationships are the highest priority, preserving closeness, trust, engagement, accountability, collective-team power on leadership, support and compassion. These qualities are believed and scientifically proven to be the leading ones towards the final result of high performance on a qualitative working environment, and consequently the development of the system on its whole.
